Telegram and VK Link in Bio: One Page, Separate Clicks

A Telegram channel post can name a shop, a booking page, a chat, and a file in the same caption. The profile people actually open is still a short bio and one public username. VK is stricter: the profile website field holds a single URL, and community links sit below the fold as plain text.

That is the job of a Telegram link in bio or a VK link in bio. One URL opens a page. The page holds the offers. Analytics shows which block was tapped, and whether the visit came from Telegram, VK, or somewhere else.

This guide covers what to put on the page, how to keep the two sources apart, and when a short link is the better tool.

One field is not one destination

Telegram and VK are where the audience already is. The sale, the booking, and the file download usually happen after they leave.

What you lose with raw URLsWhich link was tapped, and from which postThe same, plus a page that fits a thumb

A homepage URL wastes the tap. The person already left the app. Send them to a bio profile that answers “what do I tap?” on one screen.

If the profile is Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube instead, the same layout rules are in multiple Instagram bio links and TikTok and YouTube link in bio.

What belongs on a Telegram bio page

Telegram traffic is specific. People open the link because a post, a channel, or a story named one thing. The page should deliver that thing first.

1. Match the post that is live today. Pin the product, the file, or the signup from the current post at the top. A static list of “all my links” loses people who came for one offer.

2. One conversation button. A Telegram chat link (t.me/username) is the natural first button for this audience. WhatsApp is the second conversation channel when buyers already use it. Build that URL with the WhatsApp Link Generator: country code, no +, and a pre-filled line such as “Hi, I came from your Telegram.” Paste it as its own button so the two chats are not the same tap.

3. Proof under the offer. Reviews, a YouTube video, a portfolio. People who are not ready to buy still need a reason to trust the first button.

4. Five to seven blocks. Extra socials can be icons. A wall of equal buttons is a second homepage. The layout rule is the same as the bio conversion guide.

5. A line in the Telegram bio. “Shop and chat under this link” beats “link” with no promise. Seventy characters is enough for the promise and the URL.

You do not have to write the first draft yourself. AI bio generation drafts a niche-specific bio and suggests social links in English, Turkish, Russian, or Arabic. Keep the voice; do not publish the draft untouched.

VK visitors stay on the community page longer. The website field still holds one URL, so the bio page has to do two jobs: the post they just saw, and the links that should always be there.

Typical order:

  1. Latest post’s offer — the product, the PDF, or the booking named in the post
  2. Community proof — a playlist, a newsletter, or the group
  3. Conversation — Telegram, WhatsApp, or email
  4. Always-on — shop and other socials

Post text can still hold a raw URL. Use that for the one link that should skip the page (a specific product). Use the profile or community website field for the page that holds everything else. Mixing the two is how click data gets split across five hosts.

QR codes export as PNG or SVG from every Linked.is link and from the profile. A VK story, a printed card, or packaging can point at the same tracked page.

Keep Telegram clicks separate from VK clicks

A shared bio page is fine. A shared report is not.

On Linked.is, profile settings can append UTM parameters to outbound buttons: source, medium, and campaign. Set them once on the profile so every shop or booking tap carries the same tags into the destination. Analytics on the profile itself still show clicks per block, country, device, browser, and referrer — so a Telegram open is not mixed with a VK open or a QR scan.

Practical split:

  • One profile, two sources. Referrer and per-block clicks tell you which app sent the visit. Tag the destination with utm_source=telegram or utm_source=vk, utm_medium=bio, and a campaign such as oct_launch.
  • Two profiles when the offers differ. A Telegram page that only sells the current drop, and a VK page that holds the community plus the shop. Each gets its own public URL. Pro includes up to five bio profiles; Team is unlimited.

Short links are the other tool. Use one when a Telegram caption or a VK post should skip the page and land on a single product. Create the short link in the dashboard and set its UTM source, medium, and campaign there. The parameters are stored with the link; the click is still counted on Linked.is (country, device, referrer, and any UTM present on the short URL).

Free analytics keep seven days. Pro keeps 90. Team keeps full history. If you report a monthly channel cycle, seven days is the reason to upgrade — not a longer feature list. Current amounts are on pricing.

Linked.is does both. Short links and the bio page live on the same account. Paste one URL into Telegram and VK; use short links everywhere a single hop is clearer.

How to publish it today

  1. Create a free account and open the dashboard.
  2. Create a bio profile. The public URL looks like linked.is/yourname.
  3. Add 5–7 blocks in intent order: today’s offer, Telegram or WhatsApp, proof, always-on.
  4. In profile settings, set UTM source, medium, and campaign so outbound buttons stay tagged.
  5. Preview on a phone. Most of these taps happen one-handed, inside Telegram or the VK app.
  6. Paste that single URL into the Telegram bio and the VK website field.
  7. Optional, on Pro or Team: connect a custom domain so the field shows go.yourbrand.com. One domain is included. Extra domains are $1/month. Setup is in custom domains.

If a second person edits the page, use a team workspace instead of sharing the login.

Common mistakes

The same homepage in both apps. Telegram and VK readers did not ask for the full site. They asked for the thing in the post.

A channel description full of raw URLs. Several links in plain text do not tell you which one was tapped. One tracked page does.

One UTM campaign for every button. Then the shop and the support chat look like the same outcome. Tag the destination by source, and read per-block clicks for the rest.

Updating Telegram and forgetting VK. Old community links keep splitting the data until both fields point at the new page.

Leaving the bio text as “link”. Name the offer. The tap needs a reason before the page loads.

FAQ

The personal bio is short and should hold one URL. A bio page behind that URL holds as many blocks as you need. Channel descriptions can hold extra raw URLs; use those only for a link that should skip the page. Keep 5–7 buttons visible so people still choose.

In the profile website field, or the community website field. Post text is for the link that belongs to that post. The website field is the one that should open the page.

How do I know if Telegram or VK sent the click?

Profile analytics record referrer, device, country, and clicks per block. UTM source on the profile (telegram or vk) is what the destination site sees after the tap. Use both: referrer for the visit, UTM for the session on your shop.

Do I need a custom domain?

No. linked.is/yourname works on the free plan. A custom domain is worth it when the website field should show your hostname. Pro and Team include one domain.

No. The WhatsApp Link Generator and the other free tools run in the browser. A hosted bio page with analytics needs a free Linked.is account.

One URL in both profiles

Create the page, pin whatever the current post promised, paste the same link into Telegram and VK, and read the clicks before you change the layout. Start free. Add a domain when that URL starts earning the website field.
