Telegram Bot

Shorten links, share them in any chat and manage your account from Telegram.

@linkedis_bot brings linked.is into Telegram. It has three parts:

  • Bot chat - send a link in a private chat with the bot and get a short link back.
  • Inline mode - type @linkedis_bot in any chat to share a short link or its QR code.
  • Mini App - your dashboard, links, bio pages, link lists and tools inside Telegram.

Everything uses your linked.is account. Links created in Telegram are saved to your personal workspace and appear in the web dashboard with the same analytics.

Connect your account

  1. Open @linkedis_bot and press Start.
  2. The bot replies with a code and a Connect account button.
  3. Press the button and sign in to linked.is in your browser.
  4. Check that the code on the page matches the one in Telegram, then approve it.

The bot confirms the connection in the chat. The code is valid for 10 minutes; send /start again for a new one. You never type a password into Telegram.

To unlink Telegram, send /disconnect. Your links stay in your account.

Send or forward any message with a link. The bot answers with the short link and three buttons:

  • Copy - copies the short link.
  • QR code - sends a 512 × 512 PNG QR code of the short link.
  • Stats - total clicks, clicks in the last 30 days, top countries and devices.

Up to 5 links per message are shortened, and up to 20 links per minute. The page title is saved as the link title. The bot only works in private chats; it never reads group messages.

Commands

Inline mode

Inline mode works in any chat, group or channel where you can send messages. The bot does not need to be a member.

  1. Type @linkedis_bot and a space in the message field.
  2. Paste a link. Two results appear: the short link, and Send as QR code.
  3. Tap a result to send it.

Details:

  • If you already have a short link for exactly the same URL, it is reused instead of creating a new one.
  • A link is only shortened once the address responds, so half-typed links are not saved. Until then, the results show Keep typing the link….
  • Empty query (@linkedis_bot and a space) lists your latest links; scroll down to load older ones.
  • Any other text searches your links by short code, title and destination URL.
  • Messages sent this way have two buttons: Open (opens the short link) and Shorten with linked.is (lets others try the bot in the same chat). Statistics are never shown to other people.
  • If your Telegram account is not connected yet, the results show a Connect your linked.is account button that opens the bot.

Telegram only sends the bot the text you type after @linkedis_bot, never the rest of the conversation. Group admins can turn off inline bots for a group.

Mini App

Press Open app in the bot chat, use /app, or tap the menu button next to the message field. The Mini App runs inside Telegram on mobile, desktop and web.

TabWhat you can do
HomeLink, click, visitor and bio page totals, a 30-day visits chart, latest links
LinksSearch, create and edit links (custom slug, title, expiry date, click limit, UTM parameters), view the QR code and stats, delete
BioEdit your bio pages and their blocks (links, headings, text), reorder or hide blocks, see stats
ListsCreate and edit link lists, make them public or protect them with a password
ToolsOpen the free tools inside Telegram

The gear icon opens Settings: the connected account, the app language, a link to the web dashboard and Disconnect. Some account actions, such as billing, team management and API tokens, are only available on the web.

Languages

The bot and the Mini App follow your Telegram language and support 31 languages. Change it with /language in the bot chat or in the Mini App settings; the choice applies to both.

Safety

Every link is checked against malware and phishing lists before it is shortened, the same checks as the web dashboard. Links that fail are refused in the bot chat and in inline mode.

The Mini App signs you in with Telegram's signed launch data, which is verified on every request. It acts only on the linked.is account you approved.

Troubleshooting

  • Inline mode shows no results - make sure your account is connected (send /start to the bot), then type the link into an empty message field.
  • "Too many links at once" - the limit is 20 new links per minute; wait a moment and try again.
  • "This link was flagged as unsafe" - it failed the malware or phishing check.
  • The bot speaks the wrong language - send /language and pick one.
